Description: Silk Route Museum, the largest private museum in China, has created the cryptocurrency Mogao(莫高) for trading artwork, VR, antiques, souvenirs, and limited edition products. Mogao will also use Blockchain Technology to track intellectual property for digital media and establish provenance for artwork and other assets.
The Mogao Grottoes (莫高窟), also known as the Thousand-Buddha Caves, about 25 km southeast of Dunhuang City, are a holy land for China's largest existing Buddhist caves, with one of the world's richest selections of Buddhist art items. After ten dynasties' (about 1600 years) of ups and downs, the grottoes now feature 492 caves with more than 2,000 colored Buddha figures, over 1,000 reliefs and tens of thousands of scriptures, Colorful murals covering 45,000 square meters depict Buddhist stories, natural sceneries, Flying Apsaras and so on. In 1987, the Mogao Grottoes were inscribed on the World Heritage List.
